Day Fifteen
In line at the grocery store
a quick errand to find dinner
turns into an epic drama
My children are screaming
grabbing fistfuls of candy
A young couple behind me glares
The elderly lady in front me counts out her change
I sigh with annoyance
A deep breath in and out
The gift of gratitude emerges
For my children who do not want
A lesson in why sex can wait
Small change counts for something
Life breath that fills my lungs.
