Not even today
do I preach or pray
Father God as who you are

The earthly figure
severly lacking

absence
self absorption
conceit

Barely worth mentioning
certainly not celebrating

Hallmark doesn't
print the card
and I'm not
praying the prayer

unless you count this one
from my hurting heart
to yours
